Historical building that is part of the residences of the Kingdom of Savoy in Piedmont, the Cavallerizza Reale has become a reference point for art and creativity with Paratissima - a project born in 2005 in Turin to promote the art and creativity of emerging talents - which has expanded its activities to another wing of the complex. More than 10,000 square meters of exhibition space now include the Artillery and the Manica del Mosca Courtyard. The outdoor spaces are illuminated by the EIVA system from Creative-Cables.
The new space dedicated to projects, activities, and cultural events opened on June 23, 2022, with an inauguration dedicated to the memory of Francesco Convertini, featuring the exhibition Ephemera and installations by Daniel Gonzàlez, Anonima Luci, and Katatonic Silentio. Extreme simplicity and coherence are at the core of the lighting system designed by Guido Parenzan to "enhance the space while keeping intact the essentiality and refinement of this place born in the 18th century, with an elegant succession of arches and vaults." In the future, it will also host a wide variety of art installations.
More than 200 meters of textile cable, 27 sockets, and 19 three-way connections, all patented for outdoor use, were used for this project, which was divided into three zones. Along the central axis of the porch, which is over 5 meters high, the jute textile cable descends along the axis of each vault arch, blending into the wall. Twelve textile cables, each 2 meters long, descend with the mustard-colored EIVA socket and Delo porcelain effect bulbs to ensure a striking, functional, and sleek result.
Seven string lights were placed around the porch perimeter to brighten up the courtyard, also equipped for the bar. The mustard-colored EIVA sockets were paired with G155 bulbs, providing a bright light.
The entrance of the exhibition was highlighted by the Cage Eight-Arm Chandelier. The red textile cable, EIVA socket, and smokey G125 curved filament bulbs illuminate the space while enhancing it.
